Tara Ntumba, M.A., LMHC
Tara joined the Brooke’s Place team in 2014 as the Ongoing Support Group Director and a therapist. As the Associate Clinical Director, Tara continues her caring oversight of the Ongoing peer-based grief support group program while contributing additional leadership support to the strategic development of Brooke's Place programs. She earned her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University and a B.S. in Church Ministry from Southeastern University. Tara is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Prior to joining the Brooke’s Place team, she worked in church pastoral ministry and with at-risk youth in central Indiana recovering from addiction and other life-controlling issues. Tara is a devoted advocate and supporter for youth and families experiencing the pain of grief. She is the proud wife and Mama of her Congolese-American family and finds that supporting others through grief nurtures a greater presence of the beauty that each moment of life brings.
