Brooke’s Place Announces Expansion of a New Ongoing Support Group on the East Side of Indianapolis

Did you know that 1 in 10 children in Indiana will experience the death of a sibling or parent by the time they are 18 years old?  For these children, important grief support services can make the difference between a healthy grief journey and one fraught with anxiety, depression, isolation, and other academic or behavioral issues.

In order to meet the growing demand for effective grief support programming, Brooke’s Place is pleased to announce a new partnership with the ROCK Community Center for Youth and Children, located at 3817 E. 32nd Street in Indianapolis.  Beginning on August 8, Brooke’s Place will be offering on-going peer-based grief support groups for children, teens, young adults, and caregivers at this east side location on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.  Many of the favorite components of a Brooke’s Place night will be present at this new location, including the pizza dinner for families, the expression room, and the volcano room!
