Danielle Behnke, MHA, CCLS

Danielle joined the Brooke’s Place team in 2024 as an Outreach Coordinator. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the College of Wooster in 2010 and her Master's in Health Care Administration from Franklin University in 2018. She comes to Brooke’s Place with over eleven years of experience working in the healthcare field as a Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS), where she helped to serve as an advocate and promote the overall coping of pediatric patients and families during their healthcare experiences. As a CCLS, she had a specialized interest in implementing practices and educating others on ways to best support the developmental, learning, coping and emotional needs of children and families. She also has experience working with children, adolescents and young adults with Autism and other developmental disabilities in the hospital, clinic and camp setting. Danielle has a strong passion for advocating and supporting the psychosocial and coping needs of children and families. She is honored to be in a position at Brooke’s Place where she can help support children, adolescents, young adults and families who are grieving.

In her free time, Danielle enjoys crafting, listening to music, playing with her pets (2 cats and a dog) and visiting family in Ohio and Northern Michigan.
