Kelly joined the Brooke’s Place team as the Outreach Director in 2020. She holds both a Bachelor's and Master’s Degree in Social Work. Kelly is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with advanced training from the National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA), Trauma Informed Care and ten years of services in the field of childhood bereavement. She brings experience in youth and family bereavement counseling, support group facilitation, managerial leaderships, curriculum development, grant writing and management, camp programming and administration, collaborative networking, as well as grief education and professional development. Kelly has a passion for serving grieving children and an innate gift for developing relationships and collaborative partnerships that help bridge gaps that prevent grieving children from receiving the support they need and deserve. She is grateful for the 10 years that she has been able to walk alongside children and teens- helping them to learn that they are not alone, that their grief is natural and as unique as they are and that there is hope; hope for healing. One of Kelly’s strengths is bringing people together, sparking positive energy and moving forward together, advocating for a like cause. She is honored to join Brooke’s Place’s efforts to ensure that no child has to grieve alone.
Kelly is married to Dave and has two beautiful children, Emory and Cory that keep her quite entertained in her time away from work. She enjoys watching them play soccer, painting, playing games and singing!
